First things first: Earth Day falls on April 22 this year, a global event designed to celebrate our beautiful planet and promote awareness about how to take care of it. Doing something to preserve our environment is a huge part of why Earth Day exists—though Crouch Florist thinks we should be doing so all year long—but it’s not the only reason we observe this day. There’s a lot to be said for drawing attention to the Earth’s natural resources and abundance, its fruits and riches; if we admire and appreciate them, we’ll feel more deeply connected to our planet. Then we’ll see how important it is to take care of it. Spend the day at a recycling drive or environmental fair or clean-up, but also remember to revel in nature, feeling grateful for what it gives us.
Bring a beautiful array of flowers into your home and host an Earth Day gathering. Plant our Joy design in the center of your table and serve salad and a locally-sourced meal. After a day spent being a good steward of the Earth, gathering with friends and family is one of the best ways to continue feeling connected to the community.
This piece is such a delight, with its rosy pinks and verdant greens. The simple globe vase pulls the design together beautifully. With it on your table, you’ll be continually reminded as to what a wonderful place our planet is.
