Give These To Your Holiday Host

And by holiday we mean the 4th of July, the festive, celebratory, patriotic occasion that signifies that summer is here. Crouch Florist knows you're looking forward to the chance to kick back and unwind with friends and family, maybe gathering at the pool, the beach, the lake and the like. This is a time to attend a barbecue or a potluck before heading out to the evening's fireworks. Don't arrive empty-handed to your host's home; bring him or her flowers that can be put to use right away on the holiday table. Read More about Give These To Your Holiday Host »

“For it was not into my ear that you whispered, but into my heart; it was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.” -Judy Garland Sometimes the deepest love is not communicated in words, but sweet gestures and kindnesses. Wedding anniversaries are a wonderful opportunity to remind the love of your life what she means to you. Since the month of June sees more weddings than any other month, we at Crouch Florist realize there are also many anniversaries being celebrated this month. A Healthy, Helpful Basket For Father’s Day

June 17th is Father’s Day this year, and to celebrate we’ve dug up a bit of history about this renowned day. While there are a few stories about when and where Father’s Day began, one of the most well-known hails from Spokane, Washington. A woman named Sonora Smart Dodd realized that there was much fuss being made over mothers, but nothing being done to celebrate fathers. She had a high regard for her own father, a Civil War veteran who raised his children alone after his wife died in child birth with their sixth child. Due to Sonora’s efforts, the first Father’s Day was celebrated in Spokane on June 19, 1910. Here at Crouch Florist we are eager to help you keep tradition alive with an abundance of gifts and ideas for your dad this Father’s Day. Read More about A Healthy, Helpful Basket For Father’s Day »

A Pretty Pastel Design For Your Besties

Quick, mark this date on your calendar: June 8. That, our friend, is National Best Friend's Day, and you're going to want to round up the besties and start planning how you'll celebrate now. After all, these are the people who have been there, day in and day out, through thick and thin, better or worse. In many cases, they are more solid and enduring than romantic partners, and we've certainly created a ton of both poignant and hilarious memories with them. They've seen us at our best and at our worst, and they continue to love us. And you know what? Crouch Florist thinks they deserve special flowers. Summer In A Basket. You’re Welcome.

Are you anticipating the arrival of summer as much as we are here at Crouch Florist? There are so many things to look forward to: Independence Day, grilling out in the backyard, floating in the pool, traveling to visit friends and family. Yes, it's hot, but that's also what makes everything so darn beautiful outside, especially our plants and flowers. The ones we bring into our spaces over the summer usually reflect the season's spirit; they're a little brighter, a little bolder and our designs with them pack a little more punch. One of our favorite ways to express a sense of summer is to, well, put it in a basket. Read More about Summer In A Basket. You’re Welcome. »

The Weekend We’ve Been Waiting For

Memorial Day is first and foremost an occasion to remember and to celebrate the legacy of those soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service to country. But it's also a time when we get together with friends and family to take advantage of an additional "weekend" day on what is thought of as the cusp of summer. We long to be outside, so we host our parties and dinners there. We want to soak in the pool, and it's often warm enough to do so. We want to enjoy a barbecue that goes way past sundown because, frankly, we can. No matter how you're planning to spend Memorial Day, flowers are in order. Crouch Florist has the perfect ones. Anything But Boring Boutonnieres

The end of the school year is just around the corner, and we here at Crouch Florist are ready for it. We love to see our high school juniors and seniors prepping for prom---arguably the biggest dance of their lives---and helping them find their wearable flowers. These days, corsages, wristlets and yes, boutonnieres have gotten an upgrade. The latter are modern, elegant and hip, as statement-ready as the corsages they complement. Any guy would love to suit up with one of these babies on his lapel. Read More about Anything But Boring Boutonnieres »

Giving The Pothos Plant To Teachers And Nurses

May 6 through May 12 is both Nurse and Teacher Appreciation Week, a double-whammy of celebrations for those people who educate, nurture, protect and otherwise empower the rest of us. Since these are two fields primarily dominated by women, Crouch Florist likes to think of this week as the chance to honor our "super ladies," many of whom are also moms, sisters, aunts, friends, neighbors and colleagues. They embody many roles all at once, and their resilience, intelligence and time-management skills should be honored all year long. Read More about Giving The Pothos Plant To Teachers And Nurses »
